Join us for our exciting series of Wolterton Workshops. Cooking, floristry and gardening experts will be providing exclusive, artisan experiences and courses over the coming months - all hosted in Wolterton's breath-taking rooms and grounds.

Join us for one (or all!) of our unique experiences which include:
A warm Wolterton welcome with coffee and cake in our beautiful 18th Century Georgian Hall

The brand-new workshops run from 10.00am – 1.00pm

Patisserie with Rebecca Heath of Hestia Patisserie

This class is an exploration into some of Hestia sweet secrets covering a host of different, valuable patisserie skills. Full of delightful treats, and expertise, this class is sure to be a wonderful introduction for anybody interested in discovering more about the colourful, stunning world of entremets.

Hestia Patisserie is run by classically trained chef Rebecca. After starting her career at Westminster Kingsway College on a three-year Professional Chef Diploma and working in high end hotels and restaurants in London, she moved to Nottingham to work at Michelin-starred restaurant, Sat Bains and then onto Copenhagen, Denmark, to work at various Michelin-starred restaurants. Upon returning to Norfolk, she has concentrated predominantly on patisserie, which has inspired her to establish her own business.

The workshop runs rom 10am to 1pm and will be held in the Hall's kitchen. You will receive tea, coffee and refreshments on arrival and get to take home your creations plus any left overs. If there is time we will also include a tour of the Hall and Walled Garden.

Floristry Spring Handtied Bouquet Workshop

Celebrate the end of the spring season with a relaxed floral workshop at Wolterton Hall where you will create your own hand tied bouquet brimming with beautiful spring florals. After a step-by-step demonstration, you will be able to make your own bouquet developing your own unique style. There will lots of advice from Harriet on how to choose your flowers, spiral your stems, and care for your creation.

The workshop uses sustainable floristry methods and locally sourced blooms wherever possible including some from the gardens at Wolterton Hall. If the weather is kind the workshop will include a stroll through the magnificent walled gardens at Wolterton with Katlina Lanham, gardener on the Wolterton Estate.

Seasonal flowers may include - Peony’s, Tulips, Ranunculus, Ami, Larkspur, Sweet Peas, Roses, Philadelphus, Viburnum.

Includes all flowers, foliage, tools, wrap and ribbons. Suitable for complete beginners!

You will receive tea, coffee and refreshments on arrival and then be shown the famous Walled Garden (the largest in East Anglia) where preparations are starting for a major rennovation. You will get to take home your creations plus a gift from Wolterton. If there is time we will also include a tour of the Hall's State Rooms.

Gardening for Beginners

Join us to learn the basics of growing your own veg and flowers and take inspiration from the produce and gardening methods used in the Wolterton Walled garden.

This hugely informative half-day course is led by Wolterton Park's Kat Lanham. She will guide you through a combination of theory and practical demonstrations including a tour of our stunning 4 acre walled kitchen garden.

From planning and tools, to considering what to grow and where, to seed sowing, pruning, pests and disease, this is the perfect introductory day for both the curious and committed. Set in the glorious grounds of Wolterton Hall which is not generally open to the public - this will be an experience to remember.
