The restoration of the State Dining Room

The State Dining Room is now complete. The red wool damask (also used at Strawberry Hill) on the walls - woven by the brilliant Context Weavers - was achieved by the master- upholsterer Steve Franklin. We look forward to a reason for having dinner here before Christmas.

Stephen is a Freeman and Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Upholders and a Fellow, Director  and Assessor of The Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers more of his work can be viewed on his website below.

If you would like to book the dining room for an event please do get in touch for further details.
